The ACR-GNY chapter is a nonprofit organization that promotes and strengthens Alternative Dispute Resolution by fostering dialogue and professional development.

Become a Member

ACR-GNY has been one of the most active ADR member nonprofit organizations in the greater New York area since 2001. We attract ADR professionals from various fields, such as commercial arbitration, government agencies, academia, education, the judiciary, restorative justice, law practice and law enforcement, mental health, and the clergy. See our robust, diverse member directory here.

Here are a few great reasons to become an ACR-GNY member:

  • List as an ADR Practitioner in the Member Directory
  • Networking with ADR professionals from diverse practice areas
  • Opportunities to present or propose presentations for our members
  • Special access to members-only monthly programming
  • Special access to members-only video library
  • Professional development through collectively promoting the use of ADR.
  • Opportunities to take on leadership roles on our Board of Directors
  • Discounts for the annual conference
  • Access to Practice Groups to connect to smaller groups of practitioners to discuss different aspects of our work
  • Celebrate Mediation Settlement Day with us every year!

Mediators are better with community alongside them! I have always been fond of the work that ACR-GNY does and am proud to join as a solo-practitioner member.

ACR-GNY allows me to continue to learn and improve my practice and understanding of mediation, facilitation and coaching, and to meet and interact with colleagues in the NY area and -- refreshingly - around the world.
