Professional Bio
Abayomi Ajaiyeoba (“Yomi”) was elected Judge of the Kings County Civil Court in November 2024. She sits in Family Court, where she presides over matters involving custody, visitation, family offenses, and guardianship. She is a Doctor of Psychology candidate in Human and Organizational Psychology with a specialization in Organizational Leadership (PsyDc). As an experienced litigator, certified mediator, arbitrator, and certified Restorative Circle Keeper, she specializes in conflict resolution, organizational leadership, fostering cultures of belonging, team building, and the application of restorative practices. She strives to create environments that enhance joy, well-being, and a strong sense of belonging, making each space she touches a better place for all.
In her spare time, she enjoys mentoring law students, singing, meditating, Bollywood Zumba, African dance, event planning, traveling, and writing poetry and short stories.
