Professional Bio
Philip Goldstein is a full-time Special Master/Mediator/Arbitrator. Mr. Goldstein is Special Master in the New York City Asbestos Litigation (NYCAL). Mr. Goldstein has mediated, and regularly mediates, numerous cases privately and as a member of various state and federal court panels. He is particularly proficient with online mediations, and has conducted many Zoom online mediations (two-party and multi-party) since April 2020.

Subject areas mediated include: Federal and State Wage and Hour cases (FLSA and NY Labor Law, including collective actions), business dissolution, breach of contract, business torts and commercial real estate, personal injury/New York Labor Law, mass/toxic torts including asbestos and employment (wage/hour class action and FLSA). Prior to opening his neutral practice, Phil was a senior partner at an AmLaw 100 law firm, and served as Office Managing Partner of the Firm's New York office for over 8 years. During his litigation practice, Phil settled thousands of cases nationwide in complex, multi-party disputes, including mass/toxic torts, products liability and complex business/commercial matters. Honors/awards included: (1) BTI Consulting Group, Client Service All-Star, 2016 (Three recipients of 1,000+ firm lawyers); (2) Named One of the "Best Lawyers in America," Woodward/White, Inc., 2006-2017; and (3) Named a New York "Super Lawyer," Class Action/Mass Torts, 2006-2009, 2011-2017.
