Practice Group: Commercial & Employment Mediators | February 2021

Mediators work hard to encourage understanding and bridge boundaries. Yet many work alone, with few opportunities to share their questions, frustrations and ideas with colleagues.  ACR-GNY promotes learning and dialogue within the ADR community. This Commercial & Employment Practice Group has been meeting since 2019.  

To provide more support and opportunities, ACR-GNY is re-launching this Practice Group membership wide.   This is a confidential space where mediators  can come together to share puzzling moments and give each other honest feedback. 

Commercial and Employment mediators, non-attorney and attorneys, are invited to our meetings. February's guest facilitator will be Chris M. Kwok. Chris Kwok  is an  experienced mediator and arbitrator with JAMS, specializing in Labor & Employment Law.  Formerly, he was the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Coordinator at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the New York District Office. Mr. Kwok managed mediators in the New York, Newark, Buffalo and Boston offices. He has personally mediated thousands of cases over the course of his career.  He was the proud recipient of the ADR Frontline Champion Award form ACR-GNY in 2020.
