Professional Bio
Specializing in the facilitation of multi-party public policy controversies and disputes and the mediation of intra-organizational conflicts. Examples of policy controversies: Creating and facilitating processes that developed draft legislation to address the controversy over the remediation of brownfields, that developed draft regulations for the management of scrap tires and for the application of biosolids on agricultural land, and a behind-the-scenes dialogue process that paved the way for the ultimate mediation of the Catskills watershed controversy under the governor's auspices (all in New York State). Examples of intra-organizational conflict: Mediations for large not-for-profits that had devolved into rancorous factions over internal policies and management styles, and designing and facilitating many policy and strategy conferences and organizational meetings.
