In this presentation\, she will speak more specifically about how a shaman framework around conflict may change the way you mediate. She will teach a few shaman skills that may help the participants in expanding their ability to mediate or interact with conflict in their personal or professional lives. And discuss the cross over between healing and and mediation work. Elizabeth Clemants is a mediator\, coach and teacher. She mediates in her private practice a variety of different types of cases. She first learned to mediate at Columbia University where she earned an MSW from the school of social work and a minor in law. She went on to work in community mediation where she served both as the Director of the Manhattan Mediation Program and later as the Senior Director of the Safe Horizon Mediation Program (now the New York Peace Institute). \n She earned her coaching certificate from CTI in 2005 and coaches executives in conflict situations. She is certified by the Office of Court Administration - ADR and Court Improvement Programs as a trainer of mediation. She works as an adjunct professor for Fordham Law School and Cardozo Law School. She also runs her own training program where she trains and mentors dozens of mediators every year. \n In addition to her mediation work\, Elizabeth is a full mesa carrying shaman. She works with clients who suffer from a general sense that something is stuck and unable to move forward\, to clients with terminal illnesses\, and everything in between. She has a thriving practice of hundreds of shaman clients in New York\, Minneapolis and Chicago. She served as Membership Chair and is currently President-Elect of ACR-GNY. Elizabeth lives with her family in Manhattan.\n \n \n \n
